How we work 01
Culture at Meth Travels
The working habits we expect from the people who plan, operate and support every journey.
A practical standard for everyday decisions.
Our work joins many people: travellers, consultants, drivers, guides, hotels and local suppliers. A good trip depends on clear decisions and mutual respect behind the scenes.
Start with the traveller
We listen before proposing an itinerary. Dates, budget, mobility, food requirements and pace are practical constraints, not details to deal with later. When something is unavailable, we say so and offer a workable alternative.
Know the ground
Sri Lanka cannot be planned accurately from distances alone. Road conditions, weather, opening hours and local events affect each day. We value people who check facts, share current knowledge and ask when they are unsure.
Speak plainly
Colleagues should be able to raise a concern without having to soften it. We record decisions, own mistakes and correct them. Titles do not make weak information stronger.
Respect the people doing the work
Drivers, guides, hotel teams and community hosts are professional partners. We expect reasonable schedules, clear briefs and prompt communication. The same standard applies within our own team.
Keep improving
Guest feedback is reviewed for specific lessons. We look for changes to routes, handovers and supplier instructions rather than treating every problem as an isolated event.
