Act early 03

Cyber Security

Practical security expectations for staff, contractors and suppliers handling our systems or data.

If somebody may be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service first.

Security is part of everyday work. Most incidents begin with a reused password, an unexpected attachment or information sent to the wrong person.

Accounts and devices

Use a unique password for each work account and enable multi-factor authentication where available. Lock unattended devices, install supported updates and do not share accounts. Lost devices must be reported promptly.

Email and payments

Treat urgent payment changes and new bank details as high risk. Confirm them through a known second channel before acting. Do not open unexpected files or sign in through links in suspicious messages.

Customer information

Collect only what the work needs. Share booking and identity information only with authorised recipients, using an appropriate channel. Do not keep local copies longer than necessary.

Suppliers and access

Access should be limited to the systems and period required. Remove access when a role or contract ends. Suppliers must tell us promptly if information or credentials connected to Meth Travels may have been exposed.

Reporting an incident

Contact us immediately if you suspect account compromise, malware, misdirected information or unauthorised access. Quick reporting helps contain harm; do not delay while trying to investigate alone.
