Sri Lanka ETA Assistance

Practical help with the Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization process, while the application and decision remain with immigration authorities.

Requirements and availability are checked for each request before confirmation.

Sri Lanka’s Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is issued by the Department of Immigration and Emigration, not by Meth Travels. Rules, fees and eligible nationalities can change, so the official immigration and ETA websites must be checked before travel.

What we can help with

We can explain the published process, identify the information normally requested and, where agreed, help submit an application as a third party. We cannot guarantee approval, accelerate a decision or override an immigration requirement.

Apply through the official system

The official ETA website is eta.gov.lk (opens in a new tab). Check the address carefully before entering passport or payment details. The department advises applicants to ensure that payments, including third-party applications, are made through the official ETA website.

Details need to match

Your name, date of birth, nationality and passport number must match the passport used for travel. Review every field before submission. The official guidance says travellers should use the same travel document used for the application.

At the border

An ETA does not itself guarantee admission. Immigration officers make the entry decision. Official guidance may require a passport with sufficient validity, evidence of onward or return travel and funds for the stay. Carry a copy of the approval notice and check the latest requirements with the department or your nearest Sri Lankan mission.

Fees and timing

Do not rely on an old fee table or nationality list. Check the amount and conditions shown by the official system when you apply. Government fees and any separately agreed assistance charge will be identified before submission.

Frequently asked questions
